So yesterday Rogue had the awesome opportunity to scrimmage against the Carolina Rollergirls. They are currently the third or fourth (not certain which) best team in the nation. Needless to say, it was quite the complete and thorough ass-kicking, but honestly I was so excited just to be there that I didn’t really mind. It’s hard to be too upset when you’re getting to skate with amazing derby girls like Princess America and Roxy Rockett and Shirley Temper, even when they’re completely beating the snot out of you. To also give us a little credit, we were running with about half experienced players and half new girls, but still… it’s obvious as to why they’re one of the best teams in the country. Their teamwork is impeccable. It was a great time and they were all super nice. Unfortunately I fell and reinjured my bad knee. Not as bad as before, but it is definitely swollen and hurty.
In other news, the move home begins very soon. Hooray!
