Down on the farm

So yesterday Eric, Noelle, and I went out to this barn in The Middle of Nowhere, Indiana to try and record a demo for State School (which, to catch up, is a band the three of us have started mostly because we all play ukulele and live in the same house so therefore have lots of time to practice). Our friend Darrel was recording us and this is his grandparents’ barn.

Of course, the nice weather we’d been having lately broke into something more summery, so it was horrifically hot and stuffy in the loft of this barn, making it rather difficult to want to do anything, let alone having to do the same thing over and over and over again. On the plus side, being a band consisting of mainly ukuleles and other small instruments, we at least did not have to haul lots of heavy equipment in the heat. We did manage to get four songs down, which will hopefully not suck too much.
