So, I’d never heard that “I Kissed a Girl” song by Katy Perry (although the Jill Sobule song of the same name is in my personal karaoke catalog) because I don’t listen to the radio and don’t really go out to bars much and the ones I do go to pretty much only cater to people who still think “Crazy Bitch” is the best song they’ve ever heard. But the kids at my work (oh yeah, I got another day care job… sigh…) keep singing it, so I look it up on YouTube while letting my arm rest after some singing saw practice.
And, oh my dear god, is this song fucking awful. Not to mention confusing, because everytime I see a picture of this girl she’s trying so hard to be really super cute and twee or whatever, and then her music is some really band drum machine crap with autotuned vocals. And what’s with this other song making fun of hipsters by calling them gay? Is she in seventh grade?
